The Client/Server Edition of
Ultimate Sports Book Manager allows you to manage your sportsbook from multiple
workstations. All workstations will be sharing the same sportsbook data. In
other words, you can set-up a call center where multiple operators can
simultaneously enter
wagers; while others
manage the lines, scores, payouts, etc. All you need is a
network and you're good to go.
The diagram below illustrates a
simple Client/Server network:
What is a server?
A server is simply a computer that is running software that enables it to
serve specific requests from other computers, called "clients."
The server is where your sportsbook data will reside.
What
is a client?
A client is a computer where you can run Ultimate Sports Book Manager from.
Since all clients access the sportsbook data from the same server, you'll be
able to set lines, place wagers, enter scores, and view results from any
computer connected to the network.
Security
Our Client/Server Edition offers a robust security module that will allow you to
specify user roles and the functions each role can perform. This will give you
the ability to grant or deny access to all areas of your sportsbook. For
example, you can create an Operator role that can only enter wagers.
